As a tutor, (arguably) one of the best perks of using Tutorful is not having to worry about payment - we'll take care of it all!
We always make sure to take payment details from students prior to your first lesson together, so we're always able to charge their card 24 hours after each session. If the payment fails for any reason, we'll do all we can to get in touch with your student as soon as possible (and long before your next lesson together) to get it sorted.
If it's getting towards your next lesson together and we're still struggling to take payment, we'll get in touch with you to let you know. We may honour your payment for the lesson, but we'll cancel any lessons you have coming up with that student until we're able to get everything resolved. We'll keep trying, and keep you posted! At that point, we'll ask that you don't book any further lessons with that student until we're able to take that payment, as we won't be able to honour any further lesson payments.
If we've been unable to take a payment from your student and we've honoured that payment for you ourselves, it may mean that your payment is delayed by a couple of days - sorry! Unfortunately, it's completely out of our control, as it always takes seven days for any of our payments to be processed by our payment provider.
