You’ve made it to the interview stage, congratulations! This means that we think your Tutorful profile is great and want to know more about your teaching style.
You’ll need to book an interview slot following the link that you have already received to start off with. Your interview will last up to 15 minutes and at the start, your interviewer may ask you a couple of questions about your experience and examples of tutoring you have done before.
You will then be given 10 minutes to present your style of teaching. You can do this in a few ways:
- You can teach a short concept relating to one of your subjects
- You can teach a partial lesson and then summarise where the lesson would go from that point
- Demonstrate and outline what a first lesson with a student would look like
- Show and discuss a detailed lesson plan that you have created, including any materials, resources, assessments and any other elements that may be included
You have up to ten minutes to demonstrate your teaching style, but you don’t need to use all of the time. We would ask that your teaching lasts at least five minutes. If you run over ten minutes we may have to cut you off, so you may wish to practice beforehand! 😀
The interviews will take place via Zoom and you’ll be able to share your screen, so please feel free to make a presentation, video or documents to share with us! You’ll be interviewed by a member of our Tutor Team and we are always looking to learn new things.
If your interview is successful, we will invite you to attend our online training seminars.
