You’ll need to upload a minimum of two references in order to submit your tutor profile for review.
This can be from past managers, colleagues, or students. We are not able to accept references from family members.
You can simply add their name, email address and their relationship to yourself, and that will automatically send them off a reference form to complete.
As with the rest of the onboarding process, references can currently only be added from the Tutorful app if you're signing up to be a tutor with us. Once you reach the references section, you’ll need to select the ‘Add references button’.
You’ll then be able to fill in the details of up to four references, and once you’ve saved their information, they will be sent an email with our reference form attached.
Once you’ve added your references, your profile will be submitted for review, and our team will be in touch with an update for you via email.
If you're already live on the site and need to add references to your account, you can do this on the website. To add references on the web, log into your account and head to the profile section. From here, click on 'Account details' then select 'References' on the left. You can then add the name, email address and relationship for each of your referees.
Whilst we do only require two references, you have got the ability to add further referees should you wish to - we have often found that adding three or four can mean your references come back a little quicker.
