For Tutors - Tutorful Platform Guidelines

Welcome, tutors! We're excited to have you on board with Tutorful, and we want to make sure that you're getting the most out of our platform. Here are a few things to keep in mind as you work with your students:

1. Make Lesson Bookings on Tutorful: When it comes to booking lessons, we ask that you use our platform to keep things organised and efficient. If you make bookings outside of Tutorful, it can cause confusion and make it harder for us to support you and your students. In addition, failure to comply with our booking policy may result in a suspension of your account. So please, make sure to use Tutorful for all lesson bookings and payments!
2. Keep Messaging on Tutorful: While we understand that tutors and students may need to communicate outside of the classroom from time to time, we strongly encourage you to use our messaging platform wherever possible. Not only is it safe and secure, but it also makes it easier for us to provide support and address any issues that may arise. Plus, all of your communication will be in one place, making it easy to stay organised.
3. Use Tutorful's Online Classroom: While you are welcome to use another online classroom platform like Zoom, there are some great benefits to using Tutorful's online classroom. For example, our platform is specifically designed for teaching and learning, with features like a whiteboard, screen sharing, and more. Plus, by using our platform, your students can re-enter the classroom and watch lesson recordings to use as revision guides or to support with homework!
4. Cancellation Policy: Our cancellation policy is designed to protect both tutors and students. If a student needs to cancel a lesson, they can do so up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time. If they cancel within 24 hours of the start time, you as the tutor can decide whether to charge for the missed lesson.
5. Dedicated Engagement Team: If you encounter any issues or have any concerns about your experience on Tutorful, our Engagement team is here to help. They can provide assistance with everything from technical issues to how to improve your profile and can help resolve any disputes that may arise.
6. Automatic Payment Processing: Tutorful uses Stripe to manage payments automatically and securely. This means that you don't have to worry about chasing payments or managing your finances manually. You can focus on delivering high-quality lessons and leave the payment details to us.
