For Tutors - How do I set a dynamic tagline?

We've recently updated taglines to allow you to make them as relevant as possible to what students are searching for! 

What has changed?

You can now make your tagline dynamic by adding {subject} into the tagline. This means your tagline will be relevant to the subject that a student is searching for. We've found that if students search for Maths, they expect to see tutors that teach Maths and if they search for Biology, they expect to see tutors that teach Biology, and for this to be really clear in the tagline.

If you add {subject} to your tagline students will see the subject that is relevant to their search. So if they searched for Maths they will see “Experienced Maths tutor” and if they searched for Biology they will see “Experienced Biology tutor”.

How do I create a dynamic tagline?

To set up a dynamic tagline, you'll just need to head to the profile tab of your account, and then click the edit button next to tagline. You'll then see the following page, where you can set both a dynamic tagline using {subject}, and a generic one. 

What is the generic tagline?

This is the tagline that will appear in instances where a student has not searched for a specific subject. Examples of when this might be shown include:

• You preview your own profile
• A student goes to your profile directly
• No subject has been searched for in the search results
